Business travel is one of those necessities, especially when you own your own business. You may find that you are traveling quite often and, unfortunately, have a lot of free time on your hands in the evenings or during a weekend overstay. For many business travelers, it’s simply not possible to bring families along. As such, the tolls of traveling can wear you down. It is not uncommon to get lonely when you are away for even short periods of time.
These days, it seems everyone has a blog, and if you don’t have one, you’re supposed to. It’s “good business,” “great self-promotion.” Many people have blogs just because they think it’s the smart thing to do to build their business, and for no other reason.
In my very humble opinion, these people are missing a lot. I love blogging, and I think it has some very real benefits, not only for the readers of the blog, which we’d hope for, but also for the blogger

This should come to no surprise to many of you reading this. It seems we are all working longer hours and spending more time trying to keep up with technology rather than using it to help us achieve productivity gains. We’ve become victims of our own success; often times forgetting about those people we share a house with — our family.
Ever have one of those days when you can’t get anything done, nothing works, and, to put it simply, everything you touch falls apart? I have had a few of those days myself, and I have noticed a pattern. As a small business owner, this is also the perfect time of year to make a list of resolutions of things you can do to help grow your business in the coming year. Think of it as reinforcing your business plan -– or in some cases, rewriting your business plan to take advantage of new opportunities.
Emphasize focus and results in time management. This is an approach I can really identify with. It’s not about how much you get done in a particular block of time. It’s about getting the results you need from that time.
