Drawing from research, as well as using his own professional and lived experiences, David B. Bohl will offer a discussion on the link between relinquishment and addiction and discuss challenges and methods of recovery management.

Objectives

  1. Discuss identity crisis arresting healthy self-identity development during adolescence and creating problems with attachment and trust.
  2. Recognize challenges in treatment/recovery management planning and mutual support group integration for relinquished individuals.
  3. Describe trauma-informed cultural considerations when working with relinquishees/adoptees/fostered persons.
